Il modulo di esercitazione progettuale si applica sull'area della “Darsena di San Paolo, ex Mof e Meis” a Ferrara ed ha per scopo la trasformazione sostenibile di una vasta zona ai margini del centro urbano e delle mura storiche, oggi fortemente degradata.

Il contesto è quello ricompreso all'interno della zona di rispetto della città storica (sito Unesco), costituito per la maggior parte dall'area del vecchio Mercato Ortofrutticolo (Mof), attualmente usata come parcheggio pubblico, e dalla Darsena di San Paolo, che sarà riservata principalmente ad usi ricreativi, creando una connessione fisica e concettuale tra il centro della città e la parte prospiciente il bacino del fiume Po di Volano.
